Doctor and nurses were very caring. Plenty of attention.
I waited for 15 hours, there was only one doctor, and a nurse examined me, and she did not understand my illness, and she was upset with me for no reason, and in the end, I did not benefit from anything other than wasting time for nothing.
Tests recommended were not carried out, as requested by my GP by phone and letter that day.
Obs were not taken regularly, no communication for hours. Triage nurse asked for blood pressure to be taken, but ECG nurse refused, also her attitude was quite rude. Was told ECG was abnormal so was put in a wheelchair, when I finally saw a Dr he presumed I didn’t walk. Blood clots were suggested, by now I was feeling anxious as concerned about ECG results.
Then consultant turned up and spoke about my past mental health about anxiety and depression which I personally had no idea what this had to do with my symptoms. He has no idea behind the reasons of my past. I Left the hospital very upset, still ill and very confused. So from queuing up from 10.30am to leaving gone 6pm I wonder what was the point !!!
I came to Urgent Care with a swollen leg (?DVT) and waited 2 hrs to see the triage nurse and 11 hrs to be seen by a doctor.
After 7 hrs waiting I asked the receptionist how many peaple in front of me and I was told there is only 1person. 3 Doctors on duty were coming out calling patients and no one was calling me. I waited another 3 hours from the time I was told there is one more person ahead of me. All this time I asked the receptionist when is my turn and why no Doctor is calling me in. She was not able to give me an answer. People that arrived few hours before that time were called in, those people could walk and did not look distress or in pain. Myself with a swollen upper leg, not able to walk or sit on those plastic chairs, I had to wait for so long. After 11 hours wait I was called in by a Doctor. After a short discussion the doctor decided to send me to Majors where I waited anothe 2 hours. Very disappointed !!! I am a NHS worker for 13 years and I am fully aware of the staff shortage. But I believe that the Urgent Care at Queens Hospital can be a lot better organised.
Waited over 13 and half hours to finally receive a CT scan in Majors B, but by then was too tired and exhausted and left before the results as that was going to be at least another 2 hour wait.
Spent over six hours in the assessment ward before l even had my bloods taken and ECG done. The nursing team were just too busy to even check on you.
It was horrendous and more and more patients kept arriving by ambulance. Old people were left waiting hours to get transport home and several other patients in Majors B had been there the same length of time as me and we’re still waiting to be admitted when l left.
If you sat patiently as l did, you just got left.
I have a red alert card with me to show the urgency of my case, but the nurse on duty were very rude and biased.
Quite unfriendly and not empathic. Honestly Queen's hospital Romford is a no no.
I had to wait 4 hours to be attended to, after I showed the nurse my red alert card. He was just a very mean and unfriendly person.
Waiting time was terrible 7 hours. No knowledge of how long it would be to be seen. Patients called were sometimes missed the setting is a building foyer not a waiting room. It was cold and uncomfortable
Staff were professional polite and respectful of how long the wait had been.
Useless
Why is there a few doctors on the floor… I have been since yesterday and it’s taking so long to be seen
Is all good only I'm patient I did what to long to see doctor and thank you so much doctor you very hard ❤
